Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

I always wondered why policemen needed to carry truncheons.

Don't they have Taser stun guns like Brit and American cops do? They make the 'don't talk back to me' treatment look much more 'civilised' when used ...

So you think a summary beating in a police station is acceptable because he resisted being stopped and searched ? Is that REALLY what you are arguing here ?

Excellent work by the police. 8)

You should heed your own name and 'get real'. If you really think summary beating is a proper way for police to operate then heaven helps us.

In this case it was the correct course of action.

Yeah if you are happy to live in a banana republic.

Yeah if you are happy to live in a banana republic.

You won't find much support here for your liberal bullshit. We're family people here who support law and order.

I did say over the top didn't I?
I'm blaming this idiot for putting himself in that situation by being a hard ass.

Cops don't just stop random people for drugs!
He's either a known suspect or the cops got a tip off.

And yes the beating was excessive at the time.
They should've kicked his ass when he was resisting arrest.

Police beating up a suspect in the way seen on that video is the antithesis of 'law and order'. You can not say you support 'law and order' and say the beating these officers gave out was "the correct course of action" and expect such to be seen as anything other than bullshit. There is NO law that says the police who did this had the right or authority to do so. They BROKE the law that you CLAIM to support and you do not give a fuck. So do not try your 'I believe in law and order' bullshit on me. Clearly, plainly and evidently you do NOT believe in law and order

Go ahead and waste your time posting pages and pages of bullshit trying to excuse a punk… as if I’m gonna read it!

This matter is very simple:

If you cooperate with the police you get your rights to a meal, lawyer, doctor, etc, but if you don’t you get a beatdown!

I LOVE OUR PERFECT LAWS! :D

So YOU claim. You might also claim that 'cops do not go into cells and beat the crap out of suspects being held there'.

You think many other countries are better? In the USA if somebody tried to attack a policeman with a knife he would be shot dead on the spot. The Turkish jails are filled with political prisoners and obviously they do not install cameras in their cells to show how they are treated. Some "policeman" in the north was among the ones who beat up to death a GC demonstrator some years ago. In many other countries such event would not even be news and would not receive such coverage by the media... it would be just business as usual. Obviously Cyprus is not the best country when it comes to the police, but it is far from the worst. The fact that they install cameras in the police stations and that the media is buzzing with this incident shows that our society demands better so hopefully soon the situation with the police will be further improved.

If that is the system you want then put it into LAW. Write the law that says, if you do not co operate with the police they have a right and duty to beat you. No, you will not put that into law and you can not put that into law (and remain in the EU or a signatory to the ECHR). In this instance GR you are full of shit. You do NOT believe in law and order. You believe in summary punishment dished out without any due process of law and that is the opposite of a belief in law and order. Stop lying to yourself mate.
