The Americans don't need Syria to control ME Oil flows. Where do you get this stuff from? Not only this, but "free" Syria not directly under the control of other groups is a mere fraction so if someone is going to control anything, it aint the Russians or Syrians who have managed to lose virtually the entire country apart from Damascus.

Most of the Oil comes out of the Gulf, usually on a Greek owned Oil Tanker to oil refineries all over the globe including USA.

The first victim out of each war is the truth. Propaganda is all too abundant from those who will gain and those who have an agenda. You too have an agenda - an anti American agenda which is why you are all too prepared to swallow the propaganda of one side in order to drive this agenda as futile as it is because at the end of the day, you are only one man with no influence whatsoever and it doesn't matter what your belief is.

Some other responsible person who has no agenda and no interest of self gain, will try to disseminate the truth from propaganda from both sides.

Further to this, Russia has to deal with the US Navy so it really is shoveling shit up the mountain face because in a conflict, the Russian Fleet would make great artificial reefs in the Mediterranean boosting fish populations etc. But I guess some will learn the hard way. In the end, some Russian Leader will take over from Putin with a much cooler head and the animosity will disappear and Russia may even join NATO. The entire situation is driven by Putin (one figure) who was a former KGB spook. All spooks whether they are either CIA, Mossad, ASIO, MI5 or whatever have several things in common. They are emotionless, insensitive psychopaths and probably unfit for Government. The nature of this business demands a particular breed of person and Putin fits the bill to a tea. These are not the types of people you can simply have a backyard barbecue with with a few tinnies or people who have normal relationships with other people.

Russia will come down a peg or two like last time. They are setting themselves up for it.
