Hey shit for brains, many non European countries have put their hands up to take Syrian Refugees.
The US, Australia, New Zealand and Canada will all take some of the refugees who are stranded in Greece or elsewhere.
Australia however will only accept those who have ID Papers of some-kind. They will not take anyone without proof of ID.
They will not take them all but everyone has to pitch in. No matter what your belief the refugee crisis is NOT the fault of the USA or any other country of the coalition.
The countries which refuse to take any are France, Austria and maybe a couple of others.
I agree that this is no way the fault of the coalition. But as a fan of Australia, i think it fair to say they have been heavily criticised by media at home and abroad

The opposition and other parties and you probably know this better then me are trying to argue that the Australian govt should do more.
Austria today took in 10,000 from Hungary in one day, many will go on to Germany. Hollande has already stated that France will take alot more.
Australia and Canada have the toughest illegal immigration policies on the planet apart from saudi Arabia that is.
They won't take any illegals, and the policies have actually worked.
This allows Australia to take in 260,000 immigrants per year through the front door. I don't know how many of these are Syrian, but am confident that Australia will take a lot more than 10,000.
With Australia, you just got to follow the rules and laws. If you come uninvited by landing on an Aussie Beach, chances are you will get into a lot of trouble, apart from the
fact that even attempting the dangerous journey is insane. Hundreds have died trying.
So Australia's policy has in fact saved an unknown number of lives.
