Exactly, and vice versa, so how can you be against it without knowing the detail?

:? What more detail do you need when this whole shenanigan begins with the automatic upgrade of 350,000 odd Anatolian gypsies to “Cypriot” level!

What do you think 350,000 odd Anatolian gypsies are going to do when they get an EU passport?

They will all bugger off to Germany and the UK!

I'm not against it and am willing to let the process run its course!

I will be in a better position to judge it when I am aware of the detail.

But, some of the TCs here are taking the piss and insulting our intelligence. They got another thing coming if there is ever any so called political consensus over some crappy things eluded to in the media.

Oh then we’re saved!

Quick… sign the country over to the mullahs because they’re leaving anyway!

I don't think that will be the case. If they stay in Cyprus they will either get to keep the home they illegally occupy or they will provided with another house... and then there will be plenty of jobs in Cyprus for the rebuilding of Famagusta and other places... they will be the lowest cost labor. I don't trust Anastasiades but when it comes to the Settlers issue I doubly mistrust him because the capitalists that sponsor him want the cheap labor and they can't see further than their short term gains.

...the idea of a pure Cyprus, a "Greek" Cyprus ended with the advent of the Modern Age. With free mobility, education, and the progress which we aspire to create, Cyprus can be Cypriot, but to define a Cypriot as Greek is folly. Cyprus is Greek because the vast majority of its Citizens appreciate what being Greek can give them. But Cyprus is Turkish, Maronite, Armenian, Latin, and even English (as in English speaking), too.

Most importantly, Cypriots are facilitators of exchange, our diversity is our advantage, but we must recognise that "this" must stop, and we must be willing to defend each other.

...soon, in the not so distant future, beyond our own lifetimes perhaps, 12.5 million is not so hard to imagine, a population that is not "Greek", as "Greeks" like to define "Greeks" today, will be significantly larger. And whether Grecophone or not, Cypriots, taxpayers born and raised; what will "Greeks" say to them, what will "Greeks" say to themselves, about "Greekness"?

Bollocks, rabbit!

Turkey will finance them (if she has too) to stay... just have a look at the muslim minority in Western Thrace.

It will be an irreversible disaster if we allow settlers to stay as CY citizens...
