Isn't it amazing how it's always the best and most successful nations on earth who are always targeted by the Lefties. Tall poppy syndrome methinks.

It's always about the US, or Australia, or Canada, or Germany, or Japan etc etc. It's never about Turkey.

Jealousy does really weird things!

Australian Cities are the best in the world - the cleanest and most livable with the highest quality of life. They shit on any European, Asian, or North American City with few acceptions like Montreal and Ontario which are equally worthy.

But you can always chew on our dust! Lucky!

I mean you can go to new York, Las Vegas, Venice, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Rome, Dubai, Hong Kong etc but it's not until you've been to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Gold Coast where you can say that you have truly discovered the best country in the world and HEAVEN on earth! :D

And let's analyze the title of this thread very carefully - "this is western democracy"

Yes it most certainly is Western Democracy!

But let's face it, we could be a total Dictatorship for all it matters, but this still does not deny the entire population jobs, prosperity, free health, mostly free education, and great living standards.

I rate this over and above whether a country is a democracy or not. The UAE for example is NOT a democracy, but it is still one of the greatest and most prosperous nations on the planet where people are content and happy, are working and living in peace.

It's better to be a dictatorship with complete prosperity, jobs and high standards of living (UAE) than a democracy which has no prosperity, and jobs and I will use an example that is familiar to everyone - Greece.

So yes, even if the USA or Australia were dictatorships, it changes absolutely nothing. I would still rather live in those 2 countries than I would most, if not all, European countries. Why? Because the quality of life in AUS in particular is most certainly better than anywhere else I have been to and so I rate this a lot more highly than Democracy. I also rate countries like UAE very highly, and that is not a democracy by any stretch.

But yes, people elect their leaders, are free to do what they want when they want as long as they are within the laws of the jurisdiction they live in. and are more or less HAPPY!

This is WESTERN DEMOCRACY! :D

If you were to say to me that Australia was to transform from a democracy to a dictatorship, then just ask yourself what is it that really changes. The only thing that changes is that the people will not get a chance to elect their representatives.

Yes it sure is democracy when political leaders and politicians current or past, are still held accountable for alleged actions.

It's in countries where leaders are not held accountable you should be worried about. A clear example is Putin for the murder of Alexander Litvinenko.

Not to mention the deplorable veto against the MH17 inquest at the UN Security Council - the Russians bloody shot it down 100%

Russia is on the nose again, and I want Australia to play with their warships again just for laughs! Friggin Arseholes! Should've accidentally let of an AGM-84 and let the bastards crawl back to Russia in flames and with their tails between their legs.
