Windows 10

Postby kurupetos » Thu Jul 30, 2015 9:04 pm

Just installed Win10 on my backup laptop. Not impressed so far.

No wonder they give it as a free update for Win7/8.1 users.

My first impression on Edge... what a piece of sh*t! :?

I unplugged the laptop from power and it managed to consume almost half the battery within 5-6 minutes! Impressive! NOT!

I hope it will be better tomorrow!

Been running the preview on a secondary laptop for a few months now. Really its not so bad imo. Basically windows 8.1 but that accepts that not every device is a touchscreen. Normally I do not bother moving to new OS until and unless there is some need to do so but I have to say as a gamer DX12 is looking very interesting.

If you are going to use it I would have a look at this.

I can see it has it uses and its all encrypted but you do need to be aware and consider if your really want everyone in your (outlook) mail address book / Skype / facebook contacts to have access to your wifi routers.

Haven't tried it yet. I will wait 1-2 months probably. I saw some reviews and it seems pretty good. Nicer looking than Win7 but as functional (unlike win8). And I like the multiple desktops feature.
