Certainly I am Male, in fact I am currently organizing a "Rugby Team" and have attracted a substantial amount of interest from various sporting associations from many parts of the world.

The song "The World in Union" has given me an idea which could be invaluable to so many people in these war torn times, although I must confess that I am a little apprehensive about "Team Selection" since England was knocked out in the first round of the current world series and my intention to restrict the team to "Non Professionals" only, has already been frowned upon by some officials.

I do not anticipate much help from the members of this forum although I am going to make an attempt to capture some interest in my efforts and am confident that one or two might forward some positive ideas.

As to my taking the forum seriously ?, I can only assume that you are having a laugh at my expense.

Well organising a rugger team shouldn't be to hard.... I'm sure we should be able to provide a hooker or two from the forum and both left and right wingers. Might be a bit difficult to get a couple of those who want to play centre right or centre left. But should be easy to get a couple who just want to prop things up.

My first essential would be a good "Trainer", perhaps if I opened a thread on the subject I might receive some encouragement, I fear I have crossed swords with one of the Forum's "Upper Echelon" [or even THE foremost member] and he has managed to convince others that, as I am apt to contest his opinions [such as they are] the little "LikassAkis" is entitled to use foul language and offensive remarks whenever I make any contributions.

It is most distressing, he is too loud and I am sure he enjoys being "Beastly" to me.

Well in that case I'm sure a good referee as opposed to a trainer should be your priority.. As no bad bad language would be allowed and the offender would be sent off and inmho banned for a period of time. As for being beastly i'm almost sure you are able to look after yourself if this happens.

I am able to arrange "Training Grounds" and all the facilities that would be required for the initial training in Cyprus and several other locations [not Trans-Atlantic] and have just spoken to a representative of one of "The Saracens" teams in the UK who has offered some help and advice on the selection process, perhaps I should open a thread on this subject, my contact seemed most interested.

I will give the matter some thought over the week-end, I am sure the time is right for such an idea.

Indeed you must give this a great deal of thought over the weekend. Naturally all players should be consistant in their approach to the game and should not be allowed to transfer themselves during the course of the season but should be there for the long term.

We were discussing "Rugby" at the time of your untimely intervention..........however,

I would invite you to research the case of "Evagoras Pallikarides" and the manner in which this young "Freedom Fighter" met his end.

The "Brits" were/are renowned for their underhandedness in matters politic, there is little doubt that at the time when "EOKA" was in control of Cyprus [and they WERE in control] the "Brits" enticed young schoolchildren to act as spies for them, they used sweets and kind words [plus cash] as an inducement for information.

When "Independence" was granted [much cash and political inducements changed hands naturally], many of the young spies feared for their safety and left Cyprus in a hurry.

The "Jews" to this very day are in pursuit of those that caused them distress and harm ..... generations ago.

"EOKA" did not suddenly die overnight in 1961 [or thereabouts] and the spies are still being sought to this very day.

NO military or Political force has EVER completely obliterated a "Guerrilla" resistance force, nor will they ever do so, history has shown that those who are prepared to lay down their lives in face of oppression [of ANY magnitude] maintain there ideology throughout their lives and "Good Luck to Them".
