In the "Good old days" when the first influx of [they that were referred to as West Indians} began to ship over from the Caribbean to the shores of other nations, they arrived as welcome guests and [although they faced hardships] soon integrated into the general populations of those nations they chose to settle in [albeit that they faced a certain amount of racial intolerance].

THAT generation knuckled down and went about their daily lives in an acceptable manner and good luck to them.

Billy Cotton [remember his band show ?] was severely reprimanded by the "Do Gooders" of his day when he encouraged his band to "Black Up" for many of his performances.

The dancers were presented with faces made up as Black as Ebony with wide White mouths and White goggle eyes, they were dressed in evening wear with top hats and canes and were very popular in his show "Wakey Wakey".

The "Cotton Fields" were often mentioned in the songs and represented in the dances with little complaint...........UNTIL, certain members of the community [ the National Front in particular] began to suspect that "Billy Cotton" [being a Jew] was capitalizing on the notion that, by presenting the "Black Man" as entertaining, he was in fact diminishing the strength of the National Front's campaign to rid the UK of the "Coons" [who were judged in those times to be having an un-savoury influence on the impressionable youth of the era.

Furthermore, it was noted that our "Billy Cotton" [being a Zionist Jew] was making capital out of his association with the "Field" family [ entertainment company also Zionist] and these facts were a thorn in the side of "Charlie Webster" [National Front] who openly called our friend "Billy Cotton" a "Fat Jew Bastard" and reckoned he should have been stuck with his mates in one of those concentration camps.
