Asked to send a message from Nicosia to Ankara, Anastasiades said “we are waiting for support from Turkey for our efforts with Mustafa Akinci. We also hope that Ankara will contribute towards a solution for the Cyprus problem” that will also benefit Turkey.

“Relations between Turkey and Greece will be mended as a result of peace. The success of negotiations in Cyprus will positively affect all the countries in the area and the Cypriot state will serve as an example. Even more importantly, the United Nations of Cyprus which will be within the European Union will be a close ally of Turkey.”

If you look at history you can see that peace and war have all ways come about due to circumstances that have dictated a nations fate . Turkey for example a week ago you would have never guessed they would be and most definately fully engaged in eliminating isis and pkk. Their actions now will have total support and backing by the whole world well apart from the terrorists. This will bring peace amongst countries that are usually with disagreements because they have all got one major thing in common and that is the threat of isis. I mentioned this a month ago and some of you totally could not see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now is not the time to have blinkers on but to read into how we can get the best out of the circumstances. Which leads me back to the start of my comment . This is the best opportunity we have to resolve the Cyprus problem forever with turkeys blessing . If you take your blinkers off you will see what I can already see
