The tendency to favor government jobs as more secure is a pan Cypriot thing, and based on that knowledge I speculate how things might pan out post BBF. When did you know politicians to reduce the government jobs they can hand out as favors to their cronies?
I grant you that post BBF the united right wing GC-TC lot will appoint their people and the left will want to do likewise, as opposed to doing it on ethnic grounds. Well, I guess that can be seen as progress of sorts.
I must admit a certain bias against buraucracy everywhere, because it consumes time, ie peoples' lives for no reason.
we will have to reduce bureaucracy and introduce meritocracy keeping in mind fairness to both communities. it really is not that difficult. invariably if a gc is hiring the cnacer are he will be biassed. untill that is sorted percentages have to apply. when you can prove it is no longer needed it can go.
if you see a one track chauvinist mind set in me, i would make an appointment with an analyst if i was you. you need help and fast and take that turncoat with you, he is in more desperate need than you are.
