Well, the other one is geopolitical, RoC gives the EU a presence in the easter Medieterranean, on non Moslem territory. Does that satisfy you more now?

The more nutty Erdo goes the more the EU appreciates the RoC.

Additionally the fact that most nations maintain full scale embassies and not charge d'affaires or joint consular offices proves the importance of the RoC and its status as a serious nation, as judged by these nations that spend a pile of money maintaining embassies.
