First run was a bit abortive - once I got it up I found myself staring straight into the sun. So did a 2nd facing the other way. On watching back my guestimae has been revised down to around 20 feet I think.

Thanks for all that Erol… it’s not bad, certainly goes higher than mine but I’ll need something a little more powerful because my house is a two-storey.

I think I’ll have to get a budget entry-level proper R/C model but it’ll probably cost around 200 bucks.

I got a tiny one some months ago: http://www.banggood.com/Cheerson-CX10-C ... 26614.html it doesn't have a camera but flies really good. When I was learning I crashed it several times and nothing happened to it! I played for a few weeks but I haven't used it since. I was also thinking about a Phantom but with such things I always worry that I will play a bit, get bored, and then my money would be wasted!
