True. Omonia seems to have a weaker team than last year, but they should at least qualify for next round.

APOEL have performed very badly against 3 Polish teams in very recent preparatory friendly matches and the only logical explanation is that they’ve been wasting their money on garbage players (bad transfers), so I wouldn’t be surprised if they get knocked out by these Macedonian nobodies on the 14th.

The Cypriot team to watch this year seems to be Apollon Limassol.

I know is off-topic, but last night I watched the Copa America final (Chile vs. Argentina). What a ridiculous match that was!

Here's the BBC comment on the game:
BBC World Service's Richard Padula in Santiago
"It was a game in which the destroyers kicked, grappled and smothered the playmakers. Messi wasn't given a yard of space as Chile stifled Argentina's attack. In that regard Jorge Sampaoli's game-plan worked perfectly. Apparently he'd studied hours of tapes of Barcelona in action to discover the key to stopping Messi.

"But throughout the tournament the Chileans have shown a strong will-to-win, which at times could even be described as dirty. Jara's finger the perfect case in point. They out-fought Uruguay and stamped out Argentina's goal menace."
