The article mistakenly assumes that the 1974 was an attempt at Enosis. The evidence is that it was a regime change to oust Makarios who did not want Enosis. There were no verbal or practical steps to enforce Enosis.
It also overlooks the undeniable fact that the GCs fought against the coupists, and the ferocity of the invasion which cannot be explained as part of a "peace operation".
It is an article by a naive writer directed at even more naive and ingorant readers.
What is unforgivable is his avoidance of a qualification on the guarantees in a BBF situation. If any guarantee is going to apply it will be for the TCs and their region and nothing else, if that.
