The Venetians saved the culture of Cyprus and Crete, you do not save a culture you detest. To this day there is a Greek community in Venice, Greek archives, churches and landmarks like the canal of the Greeks. The Venetians have been gone for centuries yet we have as many if not more Italian words in our dialect than Turkish.

It helps the cause to paint yourself as the permanent victim. But TCs were not victims, they organized and rallied for partition even more passionately than GCs did for Enosis. Since the early 50s even before the EOKA struggle there was the Bayrak Bozkur plan to partition the island. They employed pre emptive ethnic cleansing against all other communities of the island, not just GCs, because at the root of their thinking is the idea that Turks rank first and all the rest are garbage, thus they marched ALL Armenians out of their Nicosia homes in 1964, they excluded Maronites from their villages in the north, they desecrated the Armenian monastery in Pentadatkylos. The Turk to Turk campaign, notice not anti Greek, but anti all, is indicative of the ideology behind the facade. The statements of Kuchuk are revealing about this racist attitude towards the other communities and it is no accident that none of the other communities have sided with the TCs on any issue.

You have to ask yourself why no one, accept the perpetrators of the Cyprus problem, supports your cause.
