Is Mustafa akinci our beacon of a real solution

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I personally think akinci I was brought to show the moderate Tc ,they will repackage the Annan plan with minor adjustments in the Gc favor(land returned, property)but not substantial and we will vote it down and then they will push for recognition.

Predictable strategy with predictable results.

This is what I want to understand. After all being called Greek or Turkish is not something we choose. For the nationalist out there: there is genetic evidence that shows Cypriots are not similar to their mainland counterparts. We are all just a mix composed of many different backgrounds. All human!

Then why do you want to divide Cyprus with ethnic cleansing and based on ethnicity? Why not to have one Cyprus with no kind of border whatsoever where all citizens are just equal citizens, one vote each? You are the racist ones and that is why you are hated. And Akinci gave no hope at all. I will ask again... What EXACTLY is he going to offer which is going to make a new plan so much better for us that we can accept it?

Because you’ve been murdering Cypriots and stealing from them for the past 400+ years.

I hope I’ve answered your daft question very clearly and you won’t be asking it again here or anywhere else.

Look down no, look from a distance yes. Because you brought this on, by those idiotic no go areas imposed before EOKA. There was no EOKA when we were excluded from the old city of Famagusta, and that is not rumour, it is personal experience.

All through the British colonial times you sided with the colonial power, read the reports and commentaries by some of the British governors for confirmation.

By the writings and reported views of your leaders like Kutchuk, who objected to taking GCs seriously because they had been his servants in the past. Christopher Hitchens reported and documented what he calls the colonial attitude towards the GCs.

The racist regime of the trunc with its "nationalisation" of all non TC owned property, indicative of the TCs first attitude and the insistence of being a special case around which all the other communities of Cyprus must modify their ways.

So it is not a one sided attitude, there are definable causes.

"did you expect them to break out of the enclaves "

No, because when 200 000 GCs lived in tents there were no enclaves. To jolt your memory, the frudulently initiated population exchange via the SBAs had been completed by then. We are talking about September 1974 and later.

And what I mentioned is a symbolic show of solidarity with the 200 000 displaced GCs, not a substantial contribution in money or goods. To say something to show empathy with 200 000 people, that is all I said.

The enclaves were relaxed by 1968 and TCs were working in the GC areas, they could come and go as they pleased, while the GCs were kept out, yet again, from TC areas.

You manage to forget some of the TMT enforced actions when putting on this victim front.

Ask another way, why do we not look down on Maronites, Latins, Armenians. Why has an Armenian got to head a major GC political party, why some of the most respected business people in Cyprus are Armenian. Maybe because they never asked to get special status among Cypriots? Pehraps that could be an indicator of what you interpret as looking down on you and it may be nothing more than suspicion, like I said above, keeping you at a distance and not looking down.
