nato will guarantee it and of course so long as terggy is member of nato - so no problem at all.

Maximus, please respond to this. The suspense is killing me. You said you knew many TC's and you even had a cousin that married one. How is your cousin treated by the family? Is she loved or shoved aside as the black sheep of the family?

I didnt say I knew many TC's just some, in the past.

Nothing has changed in how we treat her and as a matter of fact even he is treated very well by the family.

Her choice is though, in my opinion, questionable.

Why dont you answer my question now. Seeing that you state that the majority of TC's think Like the majority of GC's (on those points I made earlier), why has a solution been so elusive?

If the TCs accept Nato as guarantors no problem for me.
If there going to be any guarantors we have to make sure this guarantor-ship includes only obligations from their end.
It's like someone getting a guarantor for his house loan from the Bank. The guarantor is simply loaded with the obligation to pay in case we go bankrupt.He gets absolutely no rights for the house.
Similarly Nato or whoever else should get no rights on our house.

Furthermore any guarantees should be subject to review every say 3-5 years through separate referendums. When both GCs and TCs vote for their abolishing the guarantor should disengage without having the right to object.

Well said boulio, its a big difference.

So essentially, Cyprus will not have any guarantors if NATO is the direction Cyprus will go. Cyprus will be a member of NATO, which also means that Cyprus will not demilitarize either.
