Large numbers of Tel Abyad residents, mainly ethnic Arabs, are reported to be returning home now that their town has been liberated from DAESH.

are these the same arabs that were seen leaving when kurds took over or are they the ones that left when isil took control. as much as i would like the kurds to have their state i see nothing but strife in the region for decades to come. they will be crushed in the future by terggy. it is all very well for the americans to do what they do now but when it suits the yanks they will sit by and let the terggs crush them.
I don't think that details are clear yet, but this will be a test for Rojava, which claims to be based on respect for pluralism and diversity. I hope that the local population is able to return and live normal lives. It seems, though, that the Turkey was supplying free electricity to Tel Abyad, at the Turkish taxpayers' expense, while it was under DAESH control, and has now cut off the supply.
