who was alexander karatheodori pasha

Greek Phanariot and a capable diplomat in the service of the Ottoman Sultan. He ultimately failed to reconcile the christians and muslims of Crete though he was succesful in other cases and even brokered better peace terms for the Ottoman Empire after their defeat by the Russians.

Here is a better historical riddle . Who and what was this persons background . He was the grand vizier of sultan Sulayman the magnificent. He was his right hand man and in fact orchestrated most of the plans and led some of the major campaigns of the empire . He unfortunately met his end by being strangled in his bed . Reason because he made remarks behind the sultans back that he had the influence to change the fate of the empire. The sultan took this as a direct threat to his thrown and those that studied the Ottoman Empire would know that sultans on occasions had their own sons killed off if they so much suspected that there was attempt to take over their thrown hence why when they grew up they were given kingdoms but we're not allowed to move out of their boundaries .

Read the history books . You will see who he was . These idiots on this forum do not have much knowledge about the Ottoman Empire . They don't realise that at some point in history their forefathers may have been fighting for the ottomans .they were under our rule in Cyprus for 300 years and Greece was under our rule for 500 or more years . That's like 6 to 8 generations . Wow . They should because it's part of their history which they can't deny

I knew that Ottoman Sultans would customarily have their brothers killed lest they make a claim to the throne, but I didn't know anything about killing their sons. Then again, anything is possible when you hold absolute power.

The person in question is Pargali Ibrahim Pasha.

So, you basically steal a brilliant Greek boy from his family, radicalise him and use him to wage war on Christians and Persians then kill him at your convenience as though it's nothing then the Greeks have to be grateful?

If he wasn't stolen from his family he could have risen an army and kicked you out of Greece. Fuck you.
