annan three the map was the same with the only difference that the three large towns and apostle Andreas IN karpasia were included in the gc federated state.the key difference with annan 3 and all the other plans was that the treaty of guarantees were not permanent.there would be Greek and Turkish troops stationed but after i believe 15 or 19 years or turkeys entry into the EU the would terminate which ever came first.

It looks like he might be more successful selling underwater hair dryers.

You will realise that this guy is a genuine one of the cypriot people . He genuinely wants a solution . This guy has all ways wanted a solution . He is the only genuine person out of all the Sharks he has to have dialogue with from erdogan to your leader . His actions will highlight the true colours of your leader and erdogan so fuck both of them . Erdogan and your leader don't want a solution . Akinci should be the leader of the whole of cyprus . A true cypriot .

From what I read he is like every other Turk. The problem of Cyprus is the Turkish occupation. If Turks wanted a solution they could just end their illegal occupation. They don't end the occupation therefore they don't want a solution. What they want is from us to sign to them half of our island. That is not going to happen.

Here is when you foreign invaders started the problems in our island:

In 1489, the first year of Venetian control, Turks attacked the Karpass Peninsula, pillaging and taking captives to be sold into slavery.[4] In 1539 the Turkish fleet attacked and destroyed Limassol.[4] Fearing the ever-expanding Ottoman Empire, the Venetians had fortified Famagusta, Nicosia, and Kyrenia, but most other cities were easy prey.

In the summer of 1570, the Turks struck again, but this time with a full-scale invasion rather than a raid. About 60,000 troops, including cavalry and artillery, under the command of Lala Mustafa Pasha landed unopposed near Limassol on July 2, 1570, and laid siege to Nicosia. The city fell—September 9, 1570 fell—20,000 Nicosians were put to death, and every church, public building, and palace was looted. Only women and boys who were captured to be sold as slaves were spared

What have changed since then? Did you stop invading Cyprus and killing native Cypriots? NO. Did you stop trying to steal our lands? NO. Did you accept that Cyprus can be ruled democratically by its own people? NO. You are the cancer of Cyprus! You are a disease ... will you ever change? I think that after centuries of being the same kind of criminals there is no hope that you will. So the only solution is to remove the Turkish cancer. It will be hard, but it is the ONLY solution. At least the cancer is currently contained and isolated. Don't hope that we will let it to spread and destroy the WHOLE Cyprus. We are not that stupid!

the ball has been in your court all the time and what is worse you have taken the ball and like a spoilt child just said i am not playing.

Oh they made their demands known alright.

They agree to BBF - and I mean a real Federation not Confederacy like Belgium.

They also do not agree to any Treaty of Guarantee from Greece, UK or Turkey.

A big part of this Federation is that the distribution of land must be equitable to the population (18-20%).

So there we have it, it looks like you losers are doomed.

Akinci is being touted as more Cypriot than the the previous TC leaders.

Here are some test of Cypriotness that I apply

Settlers- any provision that allows them to stay, get nationality, property is not Cypriot. It is insulting to us all to bring colonists and grant them nationality, make them MY compatrtiots without ever asking me. If GCs had done the same TCs would be screaming about it being an indirect way to Enosis.

Foreign military- it is not just the contingents of 650 and 900 soldiers from the mother countries. It is worse, because along with these there were provisions in the Annan plan for two shooting ranges for each continget, plus one for the British, access to ports and airports. No true Cypriot would accept such an obvious insult to Cyprus sovereignty.

Territory- disproportionate allocation of territory is an insult to all non TC communities in Cyprus. It proves the racist nature of TC policy that underpinned the Turk to Turk campaign and caps it with a hugely disproportionate per capita share of trritory, placing the TCs a rank above the others. Lumping all other communities under the title GC is a convenient ruse to turn what should be a multifaceted issue into a bilateral one.

These are some of the criteria of Cypriotness. So far I get no signal that Akinci is any different from others. I will keep an open mind.
