...still a topic with long hopes; Britain makes it clear, again. that their intentions in or out of the EU remain unchanged about direct flights to what is an illegally occupied territory, in Cyprus.

As much as GC’s call the north an illegal occupation. There has been peace in Cyprus since 1974 due to the direct result of the Turkish army being stationed in Cyprus. We all know up until 1974 there was no peace in Cyprus. I feel safer with the Turkish army presence because the fact that every GC keeps their weapon at home after they complete their army service. This factor alone is an indication to TC’s that there is no future with the GC’s because their intensions are clear.

An utterly daft assumption...

A foreign occupying power overrunning and expelling a native population isn’t considered “peace”. It’s no different to saying that Nazi Germany overrunning and occupying Poland brought “peace” to Poland!

But you are 100% correct about there being no future for native Cypriots with Turks. We had that one figured out from way back in 1571.
