How does this prove that the women in the previous pictures are Turkish?

But yes, let’s go to the web site anyway and see what it actually says:

“And this is an example of the Turkish Burqa that is now mostly identified with Qadianis:”

http://ahmedi.org/general/mirza-masroor ... f-qadianis

In other words, the author is describing a style of dress that he describes as the “Turkish Burqa” which does not necessarily imply that these women are Turkish.

What actually is your point? Perhaps half of Turkish women wear headscarves and half don't; a very small number wear clothing that covers all but their faces in the manner of conservative Islamic countries. I have lived in Qatar and all Qatari women wear the abaya. What of it?

I, in common with you, hope that one day humanity will be liberated from the curse of religion and then these issues will no longer exist. Until such time, we will just have to accept that some people will wish to dress in a manner that indicates their religious affiliation or is dictated by their religious beliefs.

Do you think any woman, veiled or not, is going to find your behaviour attractive? If they are the victims, why do you abuse them? The fact is that you feel your misogyny threatened by this style of dress.

Oh drats!

Not abusing them at all you silly twit!

I am merely pointing out the vast differences between Cypriot Women of so called turkish inheritance to their mainland counterparts. They are like chalk and cheese in every respect from food, language, dress, religiosity!

Actually, if you go to that website and study it a little, you will find that it is trashing a religious sect in Pakistan known as the Qadianis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qadiani). The author is referring to a picture of some Pakistani women who belong to that sect and is no doubt using the term 'Turkish Burqa' in a derogatory sense, intended to mean that they are not as well covered as the author would like, and I can imagine that there is a perception in Pakistan that women in Turkey do not cover themselves up adequately.
