remains of 1974 coup victims exhumed

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

remains of 1974 coup victims exhumed

Postby Lordo » Tue Apr 28, 2015 1:06 pm

if they knew there were 24 people buried in a cemetery including a child with witnesses, why on earth did roc wait 41 years to dig them up and identify them. presumably they will now reduce the number missing by 24.

...courage.

RIP, now from the grave you come to remind us. Cypriots exist, we are not just "Greeks", and "Turks".

There is no secret. Their demise is known, their resting place is known, there is confusion about who was buried in that mass grave.

Lordo, you left out the question begging to be asked: who were the officers that gave the orders to shoot. These are questions that are pending on both sides. Who were the officers who gave orders to terrorise civilians in the north and roced them to flee? Same question, and it might lead to the same culprits ultimately.

you missed the obvious question. why were they not identified so the relatives can be informed. instead they were left to bump up the missing numbers and blame it on all terggy.

who killed them at this point makes no difference what so ever.

...it still makes a difference, the who, the "they" exposed, Lordo; my question, which comes from your question, is why now?

because they were already taken to court and have paid fines for not doing this for others and i suspect there may have been pressure from the eu to do it.

what they have done for the last 50 years is inhumane and beyond belief for a legally recognised entity.

Father Tsestos, the priest who carried out the graveside services for the people put in mass graves during the coup gave many interviews, all on record, about those days. These people were not unidentified. Cyprus is far too small to have unidentified people. We know who they were. We know how their remains were delivered to the cemetery and by who. These people were not in the list of missing persons. Do not flatter yourself that you discovered some big scandal.

What we do not know is who gave the orders to use deadly force during the coup and why. It is no coincidence that both "mother countries" terrorised the population, each in her own way, in the summer of 1974.

Can you prove they were on the missing list.

The names of those on the missing list are known. Do they correlate with the names found in this mass grave.

Stop talking out of your arse.

Rather talking total crap, why don't you do some research and try to back up your posts with evidence rather than slander the GCs with manufacturing the missing list.

if they knew who they were why are they doing dna tests for. secondly is it not disres[ectful to keep the families of these people waiting for so long to give them individual burials.

why the hell have the roc waited over 4 decades to do this. why now.
