A proposition...

Postby tsukoui » Fri Apr 24, 2015 10:52 pm

At the risk of exposing myself I've updated my dating website profile. The following is under what I'm looking for:

"My therapist says that people who hear me often don't appreciate the subtlety with which I am working. I'm going to say something that is borderline "racist": I'm non-white I and I can talk to black people. My cousin (that's a test for idiots) said "I suppose it's on a case by case basis". That's exactly what I mean. Let me give an example. Mengis Campbell, or some such figure, came on the radio and said that the problem was the British didn't have a plan for transition in Libya, this is despite the fact that Saif Gaddafi, who studied at LSE and was deeply entrenched in the Foreign Office had a clear plan for transition. Now that person is lying and Saif is in prison. I'm not asking you to take a stand, I'm asking you to respect me."

Let's see if there is anyone in Britain who is listening...

Are you as violent as your non white cousins Tsuk?
Because I've always envisioned you as a placid, mild mannered individual although somewhat disengaged from reality.

I fear you’ll be disappointed. Your piece is nonsensical and tells the reader nothing about you other than expose your cluttered mind.

However, you may get some hot psychology students; in search of a unique subject, interested in your profile. So there’s something to look forward to!

I’d find you interesting when I was like 25… but now I just know you’re a nutcase beyond repair. :|

Btw, this one’s a freebie but my next psychoanalysis will be chargeable. 8)

Did you say online dating profile?

Take that blurb down. It is not appropriate for the what you are looking for section. Other than that, its just not appropriate for an online dating profile. it raises too many red flags in my opinion.

Answer this question Tsukoui. Be casual but as specific as you can : What are you looking for in a women?

You're right, but this is a mixed dating website and I don't want to offend anyone. Perhaps I should say I can talk to black "men" rather than "people"... after all the last Jamaican girl I tried to date ended in disaster... she loved it when I just sat and listened but when I tried to push my own ideas she said we could just be friends, then when I backtracked she said she wasn't interested... women huh?

I can think of at least three meanings: "mixed" as in "mix tape", "mixed" as in "Greek and Turkish" and "mixed" as in "mixed up"... anyway you'll be pleased to know I've taken it down, I didn't get any immediate hits :(

...it was off the wall, but i can understand why you put it up. A woman who is sensitive would understand that the meaning exists but that there is more to it than meets their eyes. I would keep trying; frankly, as i imagine you, why not set up several personas, that could be interesting.

just write the qualities that you are looking for in a women.

You don't have to reply to all the women that respond to your profile.

Good luck.
