Friday 13th storm - 2006

Postby Cassie DSP » Tue Apr 21, 2015 7:32 pm

Hi all

I am hoping you might be able to help. I am a producing a TV series about extreme weather for BBC Earth and C5 in the U.K. We are covering the storm that hit Pathos and the surrounding area on Friday 13th October 2006.

I am trying to find out some more information about the storm and hear from people that were there. I am also really keen to speak to anyone who filmed any of it.

For more information please check our website: www.dsp.tv. Thanks in advance.

My fingers are crossed!

Cassie, we first need to start by getting the spelling correct.
Paphos, pronounced Pafos.

Good luck.

That is nearly a decade ago... was that the one with the multiple tornadoes in the sea?

There are official records. What could you possibly want with individual (distorted?) memories?

Wrong place wrong question Cassie,

You see, most participants on this forum are Greek and they will gang up on you like a pack of hyenas. Unless you tell them that Cyprus is GREEK and that the Cyprus problem started in 74 with the invasion of Turkey blah blah blah then you will be attacked. Put this to the test if you like. Create another account and start a new thread praising the Greeks and criticising the Turks and see how quickly you'll become their best friend.

It is a sad fact that our Greek cousins are the most racist, intolerant, Turk hating (in fact anything NOT GREEK) nation on the planet.

Good luck with your research.

No one has ganged up on anyone, Mr-trouble-maker.

- Maybe Greeks relish accuracy and scientific rigour over potentially revisionist interpretations based on gossip, nostalgia and dicky memories.

What Cassie asked for was perfectly reasonable. I'm sure she/he would have done a Google search to get some information but to make it more authentic she/he wanted peoples own version of this event. Look at all the responses, with the exception of Sotos you all steamed into him/her. Typical hyena behaviour.

I'm sure the OP does not need any pseudo-sympathetic support expressed through your blatantly racist response.
