Now learn who destroyed the Cypriot economy. THE GREEKS aided by Cypriot corruption, greedy bankers who made millions out of lending money to ailing Greek corporations and companies. Greeks DO NOT pay taxes, they pay the taxman to leave them alone. Tax paying in both Greece and Cyprus is anathema.
When the rest of Europe were ditching their Greek bonds, who comes to buy ? Cypriot banks.
The Cypriot economy was a vibrant economy that has been reduced to a junk economy by US, not the USA but the Cypriot corrupt elite. Bankers whose wives were eagerly paying hundreds of euros for a fucking sleeveless blouse, I know of one who proudly told us she had paid 480 euros for one such piece of shit because it had some prestigious name !! More money than fucking sense.
We the Cypriots ruined our economy not the EU. Blame culture is part of our culture just as it is in Greece, point the finger and lay the blame elsewhere, we are the victims !!!
Mate you have a lot of growing up to do.
Yeh yeh yeh!
Then who destroyed the Cyprus economy - The Cypriots? It had to be, you can't be blaming Greece forever! You need to take a bit of responsibility rather than blame everyone else.
However, the Eurozone is a big mismatch for us. They are now drinking your blood.
Listen old man, if you think you can share a currency with Germany, Sweden, Austria and Norway, then you got another thing coming. You're nothing but serfs and there is no way Cyprus will be able to make a single decision or influence anything.
And even if you had a strong economy, you will lose your country.
Listen ..boy, enough of the ...old man crap. You have to reach my age to acquire wisdom.
Let me repeat. The Cypriot economy was ruined as a result of rampant corruption, selfishness, greed and nepotism.
The idea that the EU was or is responsible is absolute shit. Many mistakes were made and not least the unrealistic entry rate of 1.71 euros to the CY £. This rate was not forced on Cyprus by the EU, our banks saw to that. A more realist ER would have been no more than 1.50.
We have become one of the most expensive European tourist destination as a result of the high ER, ie at 1.71.
Rich, filthy rich Cypriots were taking out in suitcases millions of euros just before the crush, rest assured that these scumbags NEVER paid a cent in taxes. I know things that would make you and others puke. I know things that make me sick. I lost a fucking fortune because of mismanagement ,greed selfishness, still I consider Cyprus the Paradise on earth but infested with irresponsible, greedy self orientated bastards. We have a few on this forum who want Cyprus to become a haven for Jihadists. Stupid bastards.
