Outright Saudi-Iran war would be huge. The Saudi's have lots of expensive toys and the Iranian military is not to be scoffed at either. That could even risk turning into a proxy West v. Putin's Russia contest.
what you do not consider is one simple fact. judging by past experience, if you defeat this group, the next group that comes along will be more extreme than the last.
has the past 70 years not taught you anything about the middle east.
certainly this has always been a proxy war between usa and russia. they should all furk off home and leave people alone.
If you have not worked it out yet, then let me help you.
The coalition is not interested in getting involved in anymore wars in order to solve the region's problems or get involved in the Iran/Saudi power plays.
Our main interest is Iraq, because we declared war on that country a few years ago. We can't be seen to have failed which is why we will not allow this country to be controlled by anyone else. In the long term, we will even see Iraq become the next UAE.
If this Saudi Vs Iran confrontation escalates, we will probably only have troops in Saudi Arabia as a deterrence to invasion of that country.
