Well it's official!

Tony Abbott needs a war and is currently in NZ to discuss future troop deployments into Iraq.

Australia and NZ are considering going it alone and deploying an additional 4000 troops in a combat role against IS.

Read it and weep and bye bye DAESH!

Already there are 500 SAS troops on the ground from Australia and NZ.

They are now officially working on the Boots on the Ground part with or without America.

But being a little cynical about it, this posturing could be about getting America's arse into gear. They would have no choice if Australia and NZ officially deployed boots on the ground in a combat role.

The end is near boys and girls. The liberation of Mosul is now on the cards.

Now we will see how courageous IS are.

Further to this, all communications and supply lines to Mosul have been cut by the ISF.

Mosul is officially under siege.

I sometimes wonder who is the daftest on this forum but with such fierce competition it’s very hard to decide!

Is it the abhorrent peasant from Paphos who can’t get anything right?

I would not be so ready to celebrate the prospect of seeing more young soldiers dying for a lost cause if I were in the Antipodes.

The IS fighters will welcome such a confrontation, it is what all the "Head Chopping" is about, a stratagem to goad a ground attack since they are unable to shoot down high altitude bombers with their inferior weaponry.

Recruitment will flourish (for IS) when the military offensive begins, for every IS fighter (or civilian) killed, two more will rise up to take their place, THAT is how it has been up to now, and I think we may all live to regret the mistakes of the past.
