Would a PO BOX be enough... or an actual address is needed? Jerry. when you say "trusted relative" do you mean just to use his address or to deposit my money on his name?

P.O Box is not enough.

I believe he meant to use his address.

I have relatives in the UK if it is only an address that is needed and not me being a resident there. Any knowledge about other EU (euro) countries with OK rates where it is not too complicated to get an account?

You usually need two recent utility bills in your name to show that you are resident. Last month I sold my house and the solicitor that I have used for about 20 years needed to see my passport and one utility bill. He said that he was required by law to do this every five years even for existing clients. I would guess that the best way is to send the money to a trusted relative and for him/her to open the account. I think euro interest could be even lower, a friend that moved to France left a lot of cash in UK for better rates, he comes over twice a year so it's no problem to access the accounts in person.
