And what does this have to do with this case?

Are you suggesting that those charged in Cyprus are linked with the Mafia?

In your feeble mind, you have already convicted these Cypriots. What about the presumption of innocence?

What evidence do you have?

And why the focus on the Cypriots who are only alleged to have bought stolen vehicles? Why not focus on the bigger British criminals who instigated the entire operation?

Here are some facts for you:

1) Cyprus and Greece have a far lower crime rate than most EU countries, UK and USA.

Why? Probably because of the strength of the family unit and because of their conservative nature.

2) any increase in crime in either country is predominately due to foreigners. The vast majority of prisoners are foreigners (illegal immigrants etc).

The stolen cars appear to have been imported by a company in Limassol. According to the police investigator, the 37-year old owner of the import company claims to have bought two Range Rovers found at his offices through a website for €68,200 and €72,000. He also claimed that he met with the original owners but couldn’t provide police with information regarding their identities. He also provided police with sales agreements for the cars – which he claims came through Spain – but the investigator told the court that the sales might be forgeries.

The 37-year old claims that he didn’t know that the cars were stolen.

anybody who parts with 140,000 odd euros and cannot provide information of who sold them to him is a crook pure and simple. and that makes the seller a crook too. it stinks of mafia.

and of course it proves what kind of a person you are apc1005. you is a thousand years behind development of mankind.

I think the correct grammar is "you are "

Forgive me if I've posted this before, but the only time I have EVER had a fracas with another driver in Cyprus was with a Brit couple on the Tombs of the Kings Road. I even flicked the finger at them and I have NEVER done that in my life before but they were seriously deranged drivers (man driving, woman/wife giving instructions).

They probably went on to post (CL or CM) something derogatory about Cypriot drivers, but they were so clearly in the wrong and deliberately driving in an arrogant imperialist manner to piss other drivers off that, even, I with my carefully nurtured best-Brit-driving-skills had to swerve and give way to them to avoid a collision.

if a man spends over 100,000 euros to buy two cars and cannot help the police with information as to who that person is belongs to the criminal freternaty. i would have thought you would be very familiar with that notion living in australia an all.

who said anything about those stealing the cars were british. all that has been said is that that they were stolen in britain. i like your statistics. the reason why the crime figures are lower is because the police force in both greece and cyprus is the best police force money can buy.

If I was caught behind your slow moving car, I would post something derogatory about Cypriot drivers on CM too!
