A little about me.. I was born in Cyprus, Akrotiri, my father was airforce. We came back to england when I was approaching 3 years of age, and I have never returned, although for as long as I can remember, the longing has been within me.
I have run my own, self funded animal sanctuary for around 22 years, but disability has slowly been forcing me to bring a halt to this.
Only one living family member left, my daughter. She is now very settled and happy in her own home with her husband to be here in England.
I am basically a very friendly but quiet person who lived on the wild side and danced on the sharp edge of the knife possibly more than I should have, but older age and changes in life have calmed me down almost beyond recognition. I live for the quiet life now, happy with the simple things that life blesses me with. It would be so nice to chat to people here and possibly also learn more about achieving my dream. I hope I fit in here ok, and promise never to knowingly break any forum rules!
