Georgiadis is practical, logical and a realist.
Varoufakis is a clown who wants money for nothing and his chicks for free.

They got themselves into this mess after years and years of corruption and mismanagement.
It's not gonna take a couple of weeks to rectify the situation by blackmailing Europe.

Something tells me that this is no circus.

It better not be because they are a breath of fresh air.

But even if they lose, I will be happy if they continue to fight for Greece in the same way. Just keep fighting and believing.

It may be a circus/show, Varoufakis wants the Eu to see that Greeks want to solve their problems and that they are capable, and that's exactly what the rest of the EU/ Germans want also.

Also wants a haircut and one of his colleagues has just stated that they will be seeking war reparations from Germany as a priority but did not say how they are going to go about it.

If that is not a counter attack then I don't know what is. These guys are going against the grain. They don't wear stuffy ties and have introduced a style which I would never have expected. It's good.

And may I say that if I was a voter, i wouldn't have voted for them but I really do see something quite unique here.

Bloody gutsy too. I respect that!

It might back fire but they gave it a whirl.

The reparations thing may be sensationalism. According to the yalta conference, reparations would not be made in money. German land would instead be ceded to Poland The Netherlands and Russia etc. Some money has been payed by the Germans to Jewish groups and to some others but relatively insignificant to the destruction the Germans caused throughout Europe.

The Greek economy is set to rebound with an anticipated surplus, economic growth and about 300000 new jobs. What may be negotiated is that some of the surplus be used in further stimulating the economy rather then being payed back to creditors like it was originally planned.

I am sure Tsibras won't jeopardize any recovery.

Either way, I think they need to cut Greece some slack. Yes they should be allowed to spend some money on stimulus. That is something because the people need a breather.

True..and politically why would the Germans stand in the way of progress when the results they've been asking for are coming to fruition? Varoufakis knows this and is playing it to the masses. Good for him andGreece. Greece is on its way to an economic miracle much like Cyprus turnaround and economic miracle after the the turk invasion. The model of recovery may be the same.

Hope you're right about the economic miracle part.

Cyprus must tread very very lightly and think twice before jumping on any bandwagon.
We have a history of self inflicted tragedy for following the 'motherland' blindly.

Cyprus is doing a fine job of stuffing itself up.

First, no one has done anything to try and negotiate a better deal. One government didn't even lift a finger to address the problems before they get too out of hand.

Then you had that Cyprus Airways malarkey which raises very serious questions about the integrity of the current Cyprus Administration. I mean really, how the hell did Anastasiades think his law firm could represent foreign interests in the take over of a public company? A bit like when he transferred millions to foreign banks offshore just before the Bail In. Impeccable timing I got to say. If you think this is a Government, then I don't know what to say.

At least the Greeks are flamboyant for the time being. Long may it continue.

So Greece gets a new PM for 12 days who threw some empty rhetoric around and all of a sudden all Greeks have gone from being “non-flamboyant” to “flamboyant”!

I’ll bet 6 months from now when Tsipras doesn’t achieve anything as I predict, you’ll become his biggest enemy and the flamboyance label will go out the window!
