the fact that cosmos exists is beyond doubt. what is in doubt is that god created it and even the very existence of god is doubt. prove it to me. We have now seen how galaxies are created but there is no god with his magic want in those pictures. do you see god in this picture. or is god what they call dark matter.

As if they've got a special camera that travels back in time and captured footage!

What it *should* say is:

"HUBBLE REVEALS THE FIRST ASSUMPTIONS OF HOW OUR GALAXY FORMED"

the way galaxies are formed have not changed in billions of years. hence it was how our galaxy was formed which is the same way every galaxy is formed.

what was it christianity said the earth was 5000 years old and the dinosaur bones were put there by the devil to confuse us. yeah right. how the furk does a person who has understanding of science believe in god ffs.

That's just the average bible scholar's belief that God's "day" is equivalent to a millennium but we don't know for sure... it could be a million or billion.

One theory about the origin of gods is that they were invented to provide an explanation through creation of entities for natural events or phenomena which was otherwise unexplained by the knowledge of the time. Religion emerged when people began to worship such perceived entities and organised religion emerged when a minority set themselves up as being in communication with and/or the spokesmen for or even controllers of such entities.

The (alleged) creation of the universe is one such event.

A recent article suggested that the theory of the big bang may not be tenable, rather a reassessment of the physics suggests that the existence of time and space stretch back into infinity, i.e. there was no beginning. Now if there was no beginning there was no creation event and one of the logical implications that can be drawn is that there was no creator, at least not the one portrayed in the bible and so well described by Stephen Fry, whose homosexuality does not make a blind bit of difference to the point he was making.

I for one couldn’t care less about the assumptions and theories of anybody, let alone those of an abhorrent idiot like Fry.

My brain is that of a programmer and therefore capable of simplifying the situation/equation with logic and accuracy as follows:

Fact 1: The cosmos is THERE.

Fact 2: Whatever caused the cosmos to be there I LABEL as “GOD”.

Period!
