Cyprus is more interested in Area Point Air defence. The TOR is right up the CNG's alley.

thing is, if you plan on shooting aircraft down 200 miles away, then you need to back that up.

Rubbish! I know from personal experience when MPs came and took my father away. About a week later when he returned he informed being given a big stick (shepherd's matsouka more like) and placed with 3-4 others to "guard" a water tank.

Btw, you haven't answered the all-important question:

Those that fled in 74 had no weapons to fight with, but what’s YOUR excuse in 2015 other than a missing backbone?

Probably they dropped their weapons so they could run faster ;)

My position is clear: The Cyprus army can not defeat the Turkish army. Not in 1974 and not in 2015. The difference in power is vast.

You are the one who claims that things are different now. So if you believe that now the Cyprus army can defeat the Turkish army then what is YOUR excuse for not liberating Cyprus, other than a missing backbone?

missing backbone suggest that he had one originally. the trouble is he never had one. he has not crossed over to the north because of it.
