The one in the middle is IDF from israel. The rest are Peshmerga.

The kurds are 20 million in Turkey, bot not in the Peshmerga controlled Northern Parts of Iraq.

Israel has a population of 7 million.

And the support of the Americans and the British, who are actually the ones who created Israel in the first place.

Cyprus can mobilize to 100,000 men and a few women volunteers. Imagine mobilizing to 200,000.

Do the Turks have this many in Cyprus? Can they bring that many to Cyprus? NO they can't.

Of course they could if they needed. And not just reservists and women, but 200.000 of actual army.

Actually no, they are self reliant without the support of the Americans because it is unlikely the US will send troops to support them against Palestinians unless they run the risk of annihilation.

They also build their own fighter jets, ships, and Tanks.

And what about the Peshmerga?

I have never seen women fight like they did in Kobane. That was unbelievable stuff.

This might sound ridiculous.

Each Division (about 30 NEOCs) had its own mascot. This they told us was a tradition spanning 100 years from the Boer War, Gallipoli, France and Belgium.

Ours was the Tasmanian Devil. It was a mere cudly toy. We were pumped up to believe it was a National Treasure to be protected at all costs.

Each division had to protect the mascot at "all cost". Opposing Divisions would try to steal it and show there trophy at Morning Muster. The Division that lost their mascot would be punished severely whilst the Division that stole it was prescribing the punishment. And they made a real effort to try to be even more vengeful than Chief Young.

I am sure Chief Young and his cronies were having a laugh but I never even seen him smile, like ever. I reckon this guy was a war criminal in the making. Specifically hand picked to torment us until we see him in our nightmares. He would have made the perfect concentration camp commandant in Nazi Germany. Ok, maybe I am exaggerating but only slightly.

Anyway, it was up to us to organize ourselves. We rostered everyone in pairs for guard duty to protect our Mascot. Our weapon to any would be desecrator of this National Treasure were two broom sticks! :? :? :?

What was interesting and very bazaar was that Chief Young had to salute all of us whenever he passed. We outranked him as Midshipmen Cadets. I kept thinking to myself "suck it up Youngie boy and salute your superior". I never said that to his face though. After the formalities, he would treat us like shit and get his revenge whilst the going was good. His glory would be short lived and I reckon he made the most of it whilst he could.

The only time I got some personal time with this saddist was when we shared a car to Canberra. There I discovered that the guy was actually human but still no smile. I reckon he liked me though, deep inside.

Now picture Get Real times by 100! :x

The first time I got 24 hours leave was in a town called Vicentia NSW. It was about 2 kms from my base, HMAS Creswell.

It was right after the Anzac Day parade.

We started off at the RSL. The place was crawling with MPs and the top brass officers and dignitaries. We did what we had to do. Then an Officer came up to us to dismiss us from duty and told us we can have a couple of drinks but he recommended we go back to base for some rest.

Like fuck! We got out as quick as we could and went to the pub down the road. There we came across some Australian Airborne Infantry and it went downhill from there. :(

Like it went really down hill.

But on a positive note, I got laid that night and I was going out with this Chilean chick for 2 years. :D

I also had a black eye! My first battle injury with live round shots fired! 8)

The way you put it we may as well just go and kill ourselves to save Turkey the hasslle FFS.

Hade man the Fuck up, if you want to bend over with your trousers down ready to receive a Turkish soujouk then do so, but pleaseeeeee, don't expect the rest of us to do the same. We are 'Axoi' to stand and fight even in the face of defeat, we will do what we can.

The CNG should be reinforced by taxing other areas, especially Athiest who talk shit, little fucking cowards that want to surrender before Turkey even says Boo!

Tax the crossing points, tax the TC taxis that come to Larnaca, Tax the carpet baggers that come to Larnaca/Paphos then go over, look for other areas to tax to raise further funds for the CNG. Long Live the CNG.

B25, if you Christian Orthodox (the 99% of Cypriots according to the census) are so brave then how come 1/3rd of Cyprus is occupied by Turkey? Why did you run away in 1974 instead of fighting? If you were as brave us you claim then today either Cyprus would be free or you would have all died while fighting.

The Turkish soujouk is already in your ass, but apparently that ass of yours is so loose you can't even fill it anymore. The CNG couldn't even serve as a condom to protect you even a tiny little bit. It hasn't managed to stop the Turks from getting exactly what they wanted in 1974, not even an inch of Cyprus territory was protected by CNG. The Turks got everything they wanted to get. They didn't take Strovillia in 74 because they thought they were part of the SBAs, but then in the year 2000 they expanded their occupation to include Strovillia. The CNG was again totally useless. And now the Turks are provoking Cyprus by repeatedly penetrating our EEZ and the CNG is again a joke that can be ignored.

The only thing done by the CNG is the coup which gave the Turks an excuse to invade, plus wasting millions of euro and our time. We would have been far better off without the CNG (maybe even without a Turkish occupation) and that is a historical fact that unfortunately you are too stupid to realize.

I find your writing style a little fucked up, I wonder if you are actually a Turk in disguise. You write saying 'we' then you write using the 3rd perspective.

Why did YOU run away in 1974 you say, why not we, are you not part of the GC nation? or just F Turk here?? You compare a disfunctional, disorganised, corrupt military of '74 to justify Turkeys success, like you are foaming from the mouth saying it. What happened in '74, was in complete surprise to everyone, the then 'armed' forces were not really armed or ready and you compare that to todays forces FFS? Plonker!

Turkey may be in your ass mate, but not mine, it is is your mothers ass that is loose that you are so keen for the Turkish soujouk to come back, hade gamisou, she should be shot for producing such fucking cowards and defeatists.

Our CNG may not be the most powerful, but we are proud of it and will develop it to oppose any Turkish aggression however big they might be. You are just blinded by your cowardice.

So I waste no more time with a twat that wants to give up my country and family to the invader occupier go F yourself.

More big words and nothing more. Why don't you get your G3 and go attack the Turks? You will die, but that shouldn't be a problem for a big hero such as yourself, right?

I write in the "3rd perspective" when I refer to the pseudo-heroes like you, I am not part of the "pseudo-hero" category. When it comes to the Turkish army you are brave only in words and nothing more.

Our country was given to the invader by people such as you and the CNG who made the coup and gave to Turkey the excuse to invade. The invasion in 1974 was a "complete surprise" only to idiots such as yourself. Only the CNG morons couldn't see what would be the result of their treasonous act.

Unfortunately today the CNG is run by the same kind of right-wing morons and the only thing they can achieve apart from wasting our money and time is another treasonous action that would give to the Turks another excuse.

There are no heroes in any military Atheist. It's not some kind of movie you know and everyone is scared of war or being killed. You get to appreciate sometimes that your life may hang in the balance and sometimes your life is in the hands of your mates. But there are many things each person gains from the military. You get friends for life. I mean real friends. You get to understand your limitations and how far you can push yourself even through many pain barriers. You grow and you learn and you gain a second family who will do anything for you. It's not just physical, but a lot of it is mental. You do what you have to do and are trained to do and you do it for your mates who rely on you and you rely on them too. I reckon that is the most important thing they taught us. When you were in strife, your mates were always there for you and vice versa.

As dysfunctional and disorganized as the CNG was in 1974, they also managed to stick it up the Turks around Mia Milia, Kythrea, Nicosia Airport and even where the initially landed near Kyrenia. Today's CNG is a lot better armed, better trained and far more organized. And let's not forget the Coup. The ranks were split bank then. There was also betrayal. Right winger against Leftie. It was a shamozzle.

The CNG is also plenty strong enough to deal with any threats on the island of Cyprus.

If you were ever at Creswell, and you spouted any of this nonsense there, you would have been smashed! They would have washed you out mate, because your attitude just sucks big time.

I also believe B25 might be right!

Those who like serving in the army (στρατόκαβλοι) can serve in a small professional army. For me and most people the army was 2 years of our lives wasted. If you question the truth of my statement then I challenge the government to make military service voluntary and then we will see how many 18 years old will join the army for 50 euro per month (or whatever low pay they offer now).

CNG is as dysfunctional as it has always been, and even if it was changed to be more functional it would still be tiny and therefore totally useless against an enemy like Turkey.

And why would I be at "Creswell"? I am not a masochist, nor I need to give up my personal freedom for money.
