Blind obedience in any authority is not a value that I want to have. Making claims online of having super powers is not a value either.

What I value is realism and I try to always evaluate situations objectively.

If you can't be realistic and can't evaluate situations objectively then you are doomed to make costly mistakes and unfortunately in Cyprus we have done many such costly mistakes in the past.

Your values would have resulted in the defeat of the Allies in WW2 and we will all be speaking German today. All Jews would probably be dead and who knows who would have been next - Blacks or Russians?

With your values, all of Cyprus will be Turkish one day too!

I am replying in kind, since you choose to go the personal attack route instead of just concentrating on the topic.

I do not believe that Cypriots are cowards and I do not think Cypriots are brave. Cypriots are just normal people and cannot be compared with fanatics such as ISIS or Taliban. Neither me nor you are like that, so give it a rest and stop trying to present yourself as being more brave than I am.

What I am saying is just the fact that Cyprus cannot defeat Turkey in a war. The difference in power is just too vast. Instead of accepting this fact you burry your head in the sand and claim that you are brave and powerful. If you were that brave and powerful then why is Cyprus still occupied? Bravery and power are things that are shown with actions not written in forums

Whilst I agree with you that Cyprus on its own can not defeat Turkey, I remind you that those of us who emigrated from Cyprus, like Paphitis father, did NOT run away. Its a stupid cliché used by many and its extremely infuriating. You should offer an apology to Paphitis.

Liberating Cyprus doesn’t require the defeat of Turkey and that’s what cannot fit in your pea!

It involves defeating the forces that are currently stationed illegally on Cyprus plus whatever else may come to their aid… so that’s two entirely different things!

Of course, you’re free to IMAGINE that you’ll be up against one million soldiers, 5000 tanks and 3000 Turkish planes that somehow magically make their way to Cyprus to punish you, but you’re welcome to your opinion (read personal nightmares).
