The reason why the cyprus problem will never be solved is because there are far more of the above in Cyprus than pragmatic people. Of course you want to close the Green Line, you have more than your fair share of the island, you can hang on to your "Greek Loot". In my view the root of the problem is this "equal community" crap that 80% of the inhabitants were forced to accept, it stank of a return to Ottoman dominance. Instead of safeguarding your rights it led to GC resentment - why aren't you surprised?

Every British colony accepted majority rule at independence but you had to play the big shot, with the connivance of Turkey (who wanted the island back) you effectively achieved political equality. You allowed yourselves to be Turkey's foot in the door, you have been used by that country and you still wonder why there is so much bad feeling. If Turkey loosened its grip on the island I believe there could be a move towards reconciliation provided the Cypriot super patriots moderated their attitudes to the other side.

Many Turkish Cypriots believe that in time the "trnc" will be recognised by the international community. It's wishful thinking I'm afraid, you will never be recognised without the consent of the Greek Cypriots, international law absolutely prohibits it. If you want recognition as a separate or federated State you have to return a significant portion of the territory that Turkey conquered on your behalf.

The "divide and rule" method was implemented by offering to your small non-native minority unfair privileges on the expense of the native majority and then presenting the Cypriot people with some "take it or leave it" "agreement" instead of giving to Cyprus its freedom! The correct (non divide and rule) way would have been to make a referendum in Cyprus and let the Cypriot people to democratically choose their future.

The reason we hate the Turks is because you occupy our country. Did you expect us to love you for this? The most peaceful solution is for you to leave from our island since you are obviously incompatible with the native Cypriot population and you have caused nothing else than trouble since you came uninvited to our island.

"Punishment", that's what it's all about isn't it Lordo. You deny any wrong doing on your part and want to punish the Greek Cypriots in perpetuity.
