They need to stop giving mixed messages to their Islamic youth, then. Distancing themselves after such events is cowardly.
It's not the Imams giving mixed messages or interpretations of Islamic Law.
They are very absolute about their condemnation of the murders and make it well known that these actions have no place under Islam.
It's the small radicalized elements who peddle the misinformation and other radical groups such as DAESH and their affiliates.
