Heritage Private School
http://www.heritageschool.ac.cy/ - Put one boy through years 10-13 for GCSE/A level and have one girl there in y 4 (aged
- four form entry 20-25 per class - total of 1000 pupils at present - very well equipped in modern purpose built premises, including with modern technology / labs , etc, all I am told as good as many of the best in Europe - good reputation for drama and the arts - switched on Academically - some really excellent staff - very caring - the principal (Dr Kouris) took personal interest in dealing with my Son and his settling in problems - and my other child there now is doing OK - there is a waiting list.
Logos School
http://www.logos.ac.cy/ Small school (one form entry - 15 per class)Run by Baptists housed in I think four buildings - one of which looks like a converted apartment block, two former houses (one used for Admin) and a stand alone classroom and with a religious bent - dedicated staff - OK if you are happy for your youngest to lecture you on god and Sin - have a child there at present (y 4) so I speak from experience about the sermons -
Silverline -
http://www.silverlineschool.com/ a relatively new school in new premises designed for teaching as an "after school hours academy - now settling down and getting reasonable / good reports from people we know who have children there, at least in the primary department. Still developing.
I have heard a number of mixed reports from ex-staff about the American Academy in Limassol and Pafos - NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE AA IN LARNACA - which is a different school under separate ownership - mostly about staff not being paid and associated resourcing issues -
In Larnaca I know of the American Academy - seems to have a good reputation and for a while had children at Med Junior/Med High - smaller school housed in older premises - split site - one for/two form entry - say 25/30 per year group - had my current two of school age there for a while - some good staff - but the special reason we chose the school fell away so we moved them to Limassol Schools which are better situated for us.
