We have no land line, so connect by mobile blue tooth. Excuse me because I'm not totally au fait with all the correct terms! We first connect to CYTA then to the satellite (my husband deals with all the technicalities, but I don't think the satellite part of it is that expensive after installation). I also think at the moment we only have satellite download, not up. CYTA is just the worst at 40 cents per hour (up from 20 c per hr). And when we get "thrown off" every 5 mins sometimes, can prove expensive as each time you redial, you are charged again. May be one day Cyprus will come into the 21st century... we live in hope.

I am one of theose people waiting for ADSL and I live in Tseri, Nicosia. We are services by the Lakatamia exchange and thats 6.2 Km away - over 2 Km more than what ADSL can handle.

We have been promised DSL in January/February
