Greece - Europe's only hope of a change for good...

Postby GreekIslandGirl » Mon Dec 22, 2014 7:53 pm

Once again, all eyes are on Greece. Europe's hopes and fears rest on which way the world-changing, brave Greeks will vote.

So 2015 could finally be the year when austerity meets its reckoning across the continent. Or it could be the year that a democratic challenge to economic madness was strangled to death. It is a game of high stakes in which the futures of millions of people could be decided.

was it not the disaster of buying greek bonds which put cyprus into a pickle. greeks can vote any way the like, it will not make a slightest bit of difference to the rest of europe. it will however drive more greeks into poverty. you always have the tergs though to give you a helping hand. they have loads in shoe boxes.

I don't think anybody cares GiGs.
Most people have come to the realization that there's no hope.
Modern Greece was, is and most probably will remain a disaster zone for a very long time.

Lordo, the banks are a law unto themselves. They were driven by outside forces to orchestrate the downfall of the economy and attain control over the ordinary people.

It's time for people to distance themselves from banks.

Europe, and especially the UK (as the article points out) is looking to Greece to make the first break-away move from the bankers' controls.

You're going to be constantly disappointed to no end.

That will be interesting.

because if the Austerity goes, Greece will have no future.

Fortunately, it's all rhetoric and whoever wins office will look at the budget figures and do what is in Greece's best interest and govern for future generations.

austerity is hard but it is a necessary bitter pill or Greece will be in a lot of trouble.

It's real good that Greece is starting to see it the same way as US, Australia, Britain and Canada.

Quantitative easing is the way to go! This is why Britain retains the Pound!

Looks like the Drachma is back to facilitate this hopefully, because there is no way Ze Germans will allow it!
