They are good for XP too ... XP doesn't support trim for keeping the SSD optimized, but there are some easy ways around that. The first computer I installed an SSD had XP on it. It worked perfectly fine and much faster than the 7200rpm drive or even the 10000rpm drive I previously had on that same computer.
