In 1974 we had 6000 victims. After you began your invasion naturally we reacted and you had also some victims, but way less than ours.

But on a serious note, some of the posters in this forum are living proof that the GC's have achieved their goal (at least within their community and some in ours too) that there was no war before the Turkish Army intervend in 1974. They are now trying to convince the world that there were only a few "skirmishes" between 1963 and 1974 and Turkey had no right to intervene. Good news is that the world they lied to all these years are now seing the lies that have been fed and are waking up to the truth.

Because while the Americans and the British (for you = the world) support you, the world knows the atrocities of the Turks, not just in Cyprus but against many nations (Armenians, Kurds etc) and are not buying your propaganda and lies ("peace operation" in Cyprus, Kurds are not oppressed, the Armenian genocide never happened, blah blah blah, lies lies lies)

By "World" I think you must mean the Kurds/Armenians/Greeks/Cypriots/Albanians/Kosovans/Serbs/Turks..?

Because to be honest, nobody else cares one bit about our part of the world. I don't think any European kids are taught anything about the genocides and atrocities you mention, in the big picture of the real world they are nothing. For instance Russias losses in WWII exceed them many times over.
Could it be that it's time to move on and deal with the present situation rather than keep mentioning the past?

This is true. However when decisions are to be taken there are some facts that can not be avoided. One of this facts is the ethnic cleansing performed by Turkey in Cyprus. This will make any formal recognition of the pseudo state impossible.

This pseudo state is artificially created by turkey since Turkish Cypriots never had any more association with the north of the country than they had with the south. In fact there were more TCs in Limassol than in Kerinia. A state created based on ethnic cleansing for the sole reason of creating a protectorate of Turkey in Cyprus can not be recognized.
