Lordo, who is "america"?
...again, i suggest that in your well meaning gesture to define a victim, nothing more than a simple bit of logic escapes you, "we" are not a mono clonal society, although "they" (and you) portray "us" (present company excluded of course) as such. the criminal element that you seem to portray as the defenders of these victims are Persons indeed; so what? in "our" world, each and every one of us must look deep into ourselves as Individuals, to make the choices that will define us, whatever Person we are. you may support one adversary against the other, yet there is another level of choice, that which supports Universal Principals, that which supports the idea that we have bigger enemies in our fight for survival, than each other, that we are all different, and that we are even with all these differences the same, that it is as Individuals we are judged, by a maker or by our peers. in any case DAESH, and the poor sod that is the actual topic in this thread, does no better, corrupted as they are, their "heroes" are no better at expressing a way of life the rest of us can share in lovingly, their only inspiration is to highlight how far we have yet to go.
@ milti, Islam, and Islamists have a noble cause, (as much as any "ism" can,) and as such it began with the promise of a better way of living. it may take another 100 years for a system of politics to evolve that offers a balance to Capitalism. indeed what is becoming clear is that Muslims suffer the worst from this evolution in their Faith, although i am not so quick to judge because, like Lordo, i recall things like the Spanish Inquisition, even Cromwell, where Religion is taken hostage by a few with their own intentions, they do not "win" in the end by the way. i will not condemn religions, and Islam like other world religions i've learned something from, offers a great deal of food for thought. i think the greatest compliment i got from someone was from a very pious person who said to me, V, you are not a good Christian, but you are a better Man than me. i like to think there is, a way. with or without religion, you have it, to be loving is Grace; plonkers we all are, i say. give Lordo his due, this respect, without him, or GR, where(who) else can you get an opposite if you will, to express yourself, and in so doing, find a better way to express yourself? i thank Lordo, and VP (where is he it's been a while), at least if they are not playing the devil's advocate, i like to think they are like poets always finding ways with words to play.
...so be merry, cheers everybody!
