Its very clear that you cannot see further than your nose and incapable of seeing the otherside of the story, this is because you do not want to.
You go on chanting your song Piratis maintain that narrow vision you display on here everyday and see how far it will get you, ho I forgot you are also waiting for the balance of power to change.

It is just this type of tunnelled vision that pushes TCs further and further away from wanting to unite with the south. The clear arrogance displayed only goes to show what we will face if we are united and have to deal with GCs on a daily basis. The Piratis outlook is not uncommon amongst GCs. Having to deal with this attitude on a daily basis would be unbearable and make the current situation feel like heaven.

Imho Piratis your comments reek of revenge and hate, your belittling attitude and obstenence will never help us move closer to any solution let alone what you seek, take a step back and re-evaluate what you have in front of you, we are all humans seeking the best way forward but while we both accept having made many mistakes in the past lets not repeat them in the future. If division means not aggrivating the volcano which obviously lies deep down within many GCs to erupt and cause more hardship to all Cypriots then surely we would be better people to admit this and stay divided.

To be honest I wouldnt want to put the future of my children in the hands of people like yourself or your leaders.

Piratis wrote: Settlers have human rights. What they don't have is the right to violate ours and take our land. They should go back to their own country.

The country of those cypriots with settler parents is Cyprus, they have known nothing but Cyprus all their lives, and it is unlrealistic to demand their expulsion. No european court nor institution would support nor toleratae such a demand.
There is enough land in Cyprus where cypriots with settler parents can stay without violating the rights of internally displaced persons.
You are worried about settlers not because they will violate your human rights, you are worried about them because they will violate your vision of a greek dominated island.

VP, Piratis and the likes of him are stuck in between 1963 and 1974 with their ideas about Cyprus but at the same time all they do is talk about a few days (weeks) in 1974. They have forgotten what happened before 1974 and what the GC's and Greeks did to Turkish Cypriots. Did I say they have forgotten, no, they have not forgotten, they know but do not want to talk about it otherwise the world will believe it if it comes from the horses mouth.

As far as GC's are concerned it is not only the "settlers" they want to get rid of, they want to get rid of us TC's too as much as they did since the Ottomans conquered the island and would not hand it over to them. I don't care what anyone says the GC's still want ENOSIS and that is the reason why they insist on making us a minority in our own country and insist also on their "human rights". Where the hell were our human rights in 1963 when they started killing us and where the hell were our human rights all the way to 1974? Now that the shoe is on the other foot all of a sudden the GC's remember that there are "human rights" after all.

I don't know about you but I really am starting to feel sorry for Piratis and the likes of him.

There is enough land in Cyprus where Cypriots with settler parents can stay without violating the rights of internally displaced persons.

There is enough land in Turkey as well. About our country we will decide, not you. Those settlers were brought illegally in Cyprus and they should go back to their own country. Cyprus is not obligated to give citizenship to settlers.

You are worried about settlers not because they will violate your human rights, you are worried about them because they will violate your vision of a greek dominated island.

No, I want a Cypriot dominated island, and those people are foreigners. Would you accept it if in your next elections 4-5 million Greeks showed up to vote?

Where the hell were our human rights in 1963 when they started killing us and where the hell were our human rights all the way to 1974?

between 1963 - 1974 GCs and TCs had about the same amount of casualties. You were killing us as well.

This is the line of the part of history that both Turks and Greeks existed on this island (I will not include the 3000 years that we lived on the island without any Turks since that is not relevant):

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first part of red color is that part that you abused our human rights and used us as slaves. The second part of red color is the part that you are again abusing our human rights by not allowing us to even go to our own homes.
The yellow part is the British rule.

And the part that you complain about with Green, was a period were both sides had about the same casualties. So what was our fault? That for a tiny part in history we were not just the victims but we were the aggressors also.

Do we need to be punished for that tiny part of history? If we need to be punished once, then what about you? You need to be punished 100 times!

What is worst, is that you continue the violations of our human rights today as we speak. Not only you didn't regret for your criminal past, you continue with more and more crimes.

the fact that you have some facts right about the past doesnt mean you really have a clue about the present eric dayi. i really dont know who gives the information about the current gc society, and i will not try to change it.
its a kind of promise that i made to myself not really to get into discussion with people who "dont care what anyone sais". thank got that 66% of the tc who live hear dont share your views. and even if they are dissapointed by the OXI, i dont think they would have voted to live together with a gc gang wanting to get rid of them.

Thats history cypezokyli and TCs are now wiser, ask them what they think now and you will be hard pushed to find any that will say anything positive about unification. The tide turned after the referendum in the opposite direction and no GCs moves have been seen as positive towards our community, The division has grown wider the UN special envoy confirmed this fact.

So as we can all see Cypriots are not willing, nor do we desire a solution we pay lip service to this "unified Cyprus" but our mentality makes us incapable or resolving our issues and commiting to any agreement, so we all deserve the current status quo.

I think that there were some important questions being asked right at the beginning of this thread that have been ignored. Does the GC government still want a united Cyprus? I think the answer could be NO.

Piratis, if your government turned around tomorrow and said that they want things to stay as is. Would you except it. If they settled after taking back just one village in return and said that that is all you are likely to get. Will that be the end of it for you. What do you think the majority of GCs will say. Are you all behind your government 100%.

Our government is behind basic human rights for all Cypriots in a united Cyprus...something that most Turkish Cypriot dont want, as aparantly they are a special case above other communities such as Greeks, Maronites and Armenians...(most of you dont even know what who Maronites are).

Turkish Cypriots want a Cyprus where they receive preferencial treatment and because the RoC arent going for that...you say they dont want reunification.

Cypezokyli, VP has actually given you the same answer that I would have done, he must be a mind reader per telepathy.

I will though just add a few more things: I get my info from the same sources as you and everybody else does. You claim that 66% of Turkish Cypriots do not think like me. The 66% that you mentioned is obviously the percentage of Turks who said YES to the A. Plan, well using the same source, I can claim that what I said is the truth because 70+% of GC’s said “OXI” to unite the island.

Also, since the referendum the TC’s President has been literally on his knees begging for a solution and unification but his extended hand has been slapped in his own face time and again. Every suggestion TC's made has been thrown back in our faces with a loud and clear “OXI”.

This year the “RoC” gave medals to the terrorists who killed British and Turkish Cypriots, a clear indication that the EOKA in not forgotten and more then likely very much still alive.

The Greek Cypriot soldiers wear T-shirts with “A good Turks is a dead Turk” and chant the same so loud that the people living nearby have complained about the noise.

The Greek parents tell their kids not to sit next to a Turk/TC in school because “Turks eat Greek babies”.

In almost every Turkish website forum there are Greeks/Greek Cypriots who post slogans like “Cyprus is Greek”, “Long live ENOSIS”, “We will kill all Turks and Cyprus will be a Greek island for ever” and loads of other things.

I myself have been called names like “barbarian Turk” as used by some in this forum. I have been called a “n*gger”, a “towel head”, a “Mongolian”, a “Muslim terrorist” and God knows what else. I do laugh at some people and call them stupid at times but I have never used insults against anyone as bad as the ones that was used against me.

Well, now that you know where I get my info about the present day Greeks/GC’s and what they want, maybe you could tell me if anything I mentioned above does not reflect the reality. Maybe you could also tell me about the x-cop who was taken to court on 8 counts of assault all on TC’s who dared to visit Greek South Cyprus? Maybe you could also explain to me why his Lawyer shouted “do you see any Turks in this courtroom” when the person who filed the charges against the GC was a Turkish Cypriot. Maybe you could also tell me the real reason why the GC’s demanded that the Turkish Delights were renamed to “Cypriot Delights” and also why no one would buy anything in the South with the word Turkish written on it?

You see, I am not a person who “don’t care what anyone says”, I listen, I learn and I react to things I hear(or read).

I think the answer is yes zan but only if we TC's accept a mere "Minority" role, otherwise it's a definite "OXI"!
