The UK is a member of the EU and can "meddle" as much as any other member.
Not really. It's just a trading partner that happens to be in Europe. Becasue the EU exists, it needs to have a finger in the pie. It should join the eurozone otherwise shut up about EU affairs. Its preference to the EU dissolving is well-known.
Sweden, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria are EU members and not part of the Eurozone.
And why would they want to be? Greece and Cyprus are great reasons to stay well away.
The UK has fiscal independence which means it is free to inflate by printing, and devalue the Stirling if needed. Greece and Cyprus have got their hands tied like this ... and Chancellor Merkel has the key!!!
