BTW apart from an entire squad of Greek and Cypriot internationals, Apoel also has Cilian Sheridan an International with Ireland, Djebour an international with Algeria and Riise one of the most significant players in the Norwegian national side. Not bad for a little team from a little island that went to the quarterfinals of the toughest competition on the planet. :D

Check out the 2 squad values. Apoel is at 18.65m and Al Hilal is at 17m

Bye bye

Play them and see if you can beat them?

 not superstars anymore huh? Paphiti mou, we've beaten some of the best teams in the world including Zenit, Shacktar, Lyon and Porto. We've drawn away with Chelsea. We're an island of 800k inhabitants and Apoel does not play for a crowd of less than 12,000 for local league and 23,000 for CL. Stop doing this to yourself.

This is what you said in your opening post.....They are worth mega bucks

We've now seen that the APOEL squad is worth more. DO you ever get tired of being wrong?

They are superstars alright. Any team that has current Brazilian International players is big. They also play pretty damn hard which is not surprising when you have the House of Saud sitting on the bench.

Stop the stupidities and send Apoel down to play at the MCG in front of 100,000 to see who really is the best. Chicken shit!

Firstly you mushroom tripping Ozzie they're NOT current Brazilian internationals! They got called up 7 times for the U 23 team in 2008!!!
Secondly I can't send Apoel half way across the world to play some backwater friendly while we have a game with Barcelona, Ajax and Paris St Germain next month along with important league games. Sorry mate, but teams like Apoel have a pretty blocked schedule thats decided 12 months in advance. We might have an opening for you next summer when we get back from Boston for our summer friendlies with Roma and Liverpool.

Btw, you know that game between Serbia and Albania you saw which was abandoned.

Well, you saw some Australian A League players on the field. One for Serbia and another for Albania.

Yes well we have Internationals from quite a lot of countries, the most significant presence at the moment is $35 million dollar signing David Villa.

Just send the team down for a training camp and you won't regret it. You will probably want to come again and again I can assure you because your players will love it and love Australia, especially playing against one of our teams at the G in front of 90,000 odd fans.

Your players would be treated like royalty by the Greek community in particular but even the Aussies would be very welcoming and you will get international exposure by FOX worldwide. It probably wouldn't cost you a cent either because your probably entitled to a slice of the gate which could be up to 100,000 if you play Victory.

Sorry mate...too many obligations and as I said Summer friendlies are in Boston this year at the Red Sox stadium with Roma and Liverpool.

Now where were we? Oh yes, Apollon Limasso has Romanian, Czech Republic, French, Ivory Coast, Albanian, Morroco, Cameroon and Portugese internationals in its roster. Thats just Apollon.

At the moment Manchester City and Liverpool are spending millions in the A League and you wouldn't look at us. Yeh right loser!

Appollon are nearly bankrupt as is Anorthosis. The only player of note I see is the Czech International who played quite a few games.

Maybe DT, your committee should look into it and come down in 2 or 3 years time. I am sure you will be playing one of the MLS teams as well and don't underestimate them because the Americans can easily beat Apoel and give you a real cruel hiding.

What you guys do not comprehend is that the game is developing in leaps and bounds in the US and Australia and the teams are a lot wealthier than Apoel and are massive clubs with massive following. They are not on par with Cypriot Teams at all but more in line with France and Holland these days with huge 50,000 crowds and money to burn.

In fact, some of the teams have such a big spending power the Federation has had to introduce caps so that there is no disparity between the big clubs and the smaller ones. The bottom teams can beat the top teams easily and often do.

While you guys have been playing in your little backwater, Football in the U.S. and Australia has become a juggernaught and not something you would scoff at. You guys got no idea.

Additionally, a tour down to OZ should give you some games against Liverpool and Man Utd.

Sorry, watching one of your games makes me think about suicide whilst the A-League or EPL has me on the edge of my seat! :(

The fans in Oz are spoilt with the likes of David Villa, Berisha, Duff, Isaias, Del Piero and William Gallas.

I’ve got good news for you koala! :D

Orfeas’ B team just rung to say that they’ve decided to take up your challenge and they promise not to press for more than five goals against your side if you can guarantee a 5 star casino resort with the finest Australian hookers thrown it!

There you go… your persistence paid off after all! 8)

1) David Villa is 33 and no longer plays for Spain.
2) Berisha??? Is an Albanian footballer that came to you from mega teams such as Burley and Horsens...( wherever that is)
3) Duff is 35  for gods sake!
4) Isaias is some Spanish player that his mother doesn't even know who joined the Australian league from a 2 year stint in a team called ponferaddina. A Spanish 2nd division team.
5) Del Piero is 40!!!!!!! Years old
6) William Gallas is 37!!!!

You know I used to think that there was a little quality in Australia but ever since you made me dig this stuff out I'm now convinced that your league is the home of has-beens and never-has beens.

Pack it in Paphiti isasten enan panairi
