The 15,000 young phone-junkie regulars take 2nd stage when war breaks out because it’s the 100,000 non-phone using reservists that take command.

A little detail our friend forgot about…

the way you are arriving to your numbers puts the terggish army to 7 million. gawd help you.

back to the topic. i notice that the groc foreign minister does not agree with the analysis perpetuated in this forum by our leading groc sympathisers. poor gatsulides does not thank barbaros for services rendered in advancement of groc eex and certainy does not look happy at all about the matter.

any body care to comment.

this comment of his is interesting.

“We cannot solve the Cyprus problem this way despite our great desire to solve the problem,” said Kasoulides.
i dread to think what would have happened if his desire was not so great.

My numbers are correct…

3-4 years ago there were 12.5k regulars but the law changed to also recruit Armenians, Maronites, Charlies, and other strays, so now there are 15.5k regulars and as a result of that the reservists have also grown in number from 90k odd to 100k odd.

What reason would the islands foreign minister have to take the heat off Turkey? The clowns currently running Turkey should be placed on our governments payroll.

That’s based on your assumption that Turkey is prepared to bring over and commit her entire manpower for your beautiful eyes but I somehow don’t think they’ll abandon their borders and everything else for you.

Soon they will have to remove their army from Cyprus to fight the Kurds.

Gents why do you all talk of war like its normal topic. I don't care if turkey has a powerfull army or the GC s have eu and egypt and Israel and Greece backing them . It's all bull shit. This issue needs to be dealt with at a domestic level . GC s need to stop brokering deals with other countries putting more fuel into the flames and turkey needs to stop this oil exploration bull shit . There is one factor the GCS need to realise is they have the fate of cyprus in their hands now . What decision they make will determine the course in how history will be written. The more they keep away from talks with TCs the more fuel they are putting into the fire . I believe turkey should pull back to test the GCS on what action they will take . They should call their bluff . The GCS don't want a resolution . They have a bigger plan like they did in 1963 which led to 1974 hence why turkey over reacts this way but they don't need to react this way .

enjoy and as you were groc sheepriots. long live the banana republic and all who sail in her.

Davut today has been reported in the Greek press as proposing an exchange of water for gas, asserting that Cyprus gas can only be channeled to markets via Turkish pipelines.

Their point is not equitable sharing etc. they want a binding agreement which will give them a controlling interest in Cypriot resources for the future. Are TCs understanding the point? Do they agree that Turkey should have the final say in all future resource search, discovery and market accessibility? If the answer is yes, and this is backed by a TC veto in the Federal government then partition looks more attractive with each passing minute.

Note that Greece has not made any similar demand of Cyprus.

Also note the insult to ALL Cypriots when Davut makes these offers not to Cyprus, not even the TCs, but to Greece. His statements come a few days before the Greek-Turkish prime ministers' meeting early next month.
