Even if we were to propose outright partition, in the absence of substantial guarantees and that would mean an entity willing to instantly shoot down an enemy aircraft daring to enter even one mile in national airspace, Turkey would find a way to undermine the situation. As long as there is no substantial pushback we are going to have this problem.

Showing patience to small violations does nothing more than let the situation build up to the point where a massive all out conflict eventually becomes unavoidable.

Now it is newly discovered offshore resources that are deemed by the Turks to belong equally (not equitably, notice the subtle difference) to both sides. In the future this logic will extend to terrestrial resources, ie mining, and I can see the time when Turkey will back Eroglu's call for a joint company to manage TC property in the south. These are all parts of a plan to undermine the status of the RoC as an independent nation.

The way to deal with this bullshit is to call the bluff in advance. Like I said in another post, announce a per capita income from the gas for each and every citizen of the RoC with tax breaks for those that invest their money. Do it before Turkey shows any kind of reaction to the gas, not after it sends ships and crap to the gas fields. It would leave the Turks stranded. But we want to play both an international geopolitical game, and a local influence and patronage game with the gas within the GC community. Can't do both.
