Yes it does! Mostly the TCs holding half our country (something you ignore). So I say, never forget that!

And where have I justified any vile acts committed anywhere without reminding others of their worldwide occurrence - because in the end, that is what matters most! Complete eradication. Multilateral effort - not political expediency.

- Whereas you on the other hand, turn a blind eye to atrocities and only pretend to care ...

WHO in their right minds would say such a thing as above? You are NOT interested if atrocities take place elsewhere?

OMG, reh Milty!

Come on, any multilateral change can only begin locally. Locally, people have a chance to make a difference.

The US depends on Americans, Australia by Australians and so on it goes. If there is an issue such as animal cruelty in Cyprus, then Cypriots must focus on this and try to prevent that or improve things. They are unable to do that in other countries.

Well said mate !

Erm, Brits? French? Belgians? Why the hell are they concerned with Cyprus? Maybe you should tell them what you really think. That they should sort out their OWN locality first ....

Organizations can work together on a multilateral basis. It does not mean they do not take up causes locally.

There are a few emotive truly international causes however such as Japanese Whaling, Ambellopoulia etc etc.

As always and very true to form, ready to dismiss any obnoxious events taking in Cyprus by referring to events also obnoxious in other parts of the world.
Did you know that the trapping of birds in Cyprus is run by "Mafia" who make thousands and thousands of euros. The pseudo mezeklides are the ones supporting this cruel practice which by the way is ILLEGAL.

Dont suppose you care much about a criminal activity since criminal activities occur elsewhere!! So let us offer mitigating excuses as to why murders also occur elsewhere, drugs, paedophiolia, thieving also exist elsewhere, so we have nothing to worry about !!

Woman your logic confounds me!!

Miltiades, once again you stand out as a hypocrite.

On the one hand you admit you don't care if the same crime happens anywhere else, which means you don't care about the particular crime and suffering but only its locality. Fair enough to a point; but as I said, extremely parochial.

And yet on the other hand, you welcome the practices of others - not caring of Cyprus as a locality - to delve into the affairs of Cyprus and destroy reputation - and, not those affairs for which Cyprus seeks help, by the way, (like removing the Turkish occupation) but those affairs that are internal and for which Cyprus has set up measures to control and police but which outsiders want to use to portray Cyprus as a failed banana-business.

It is the hypocrisy inherent in your attitudes which bothers me and I state once again, a crime is a crime wherever it is committed and I believe in fair and supportive global efforts - inclusive NOT exclusive.

Once you have your baloney-brain updated, then you might have a debate - but don't scream at others that they cannot debate: because, your brain's development is akin to an Avian.

That's not all Milti.

The Casinos in the occupied north are also run by Mafia, of mostly Russian and Terkish Origin.

Cypriots seem to love visiting those establishments of ill repute.

This is what happens when the population is bastardized by Ottoman, Slavo, Gypsy influences from the Greek Mainland.

We are not all the same Paphitis. The vast majority of Cypriots that I know also condemn such behaviour. As far as I'm concerned the occupied parts of Cyprus ought to have remained closed. I too visit for different reasons but I hate having to show my passport to the occupiers on the border crossings.

What you fail to understand is that this CYPRUS FORUM, dealing with matters related to Cyprus, I suppose if it was a Spanish forum I would no doubt be expressing views on the barbaric cultural practice of bull fighting. Get the gist ?

Sorry Milti, there is something fundamentally wrong when time and time again the people betray the country. Something is ingrained to wanna look after their self interests over the common good.

They have collaborated with Ottomans, NAZIs, Coup, and the list goes on. Now they gamble in the Casinos and get rent a boys to their 5 star hotel rooms.

I ask you if this behaviour is common among the Brits, Germans, Americans or Australians.

Unfortunately recent events concerning the financial scandals in Cyprus have highlighted the fact that many Cypriots are primarily interested in their own personal life with the exclusion of the detrimental effects that selfishness and self indulged interests can have on the island as a whole.

I have much faith in the recovery and for better days ahead.
